District #1 Old Schoolhouse is the oldest surviving educational building in Mount Horeb, built between 1884-1889. It is currently in the renovation process with plans underway for a school museum and visitor center.
    
Little Norway is located in "the Valley of the Elves" and built by a Norwegian immigrant in the 1860's.  This unique outdoor museum features the largest privately-owned collection of Norwegian antiques in the country and the Norwegian Pavilion from the 1893 Chicago World's Fair.
